Henryk Sedzik - CFO
In 2005, Mr. Sedzik returned to Kornelius after four years at Netia S.A. and is supervising the finances of the Group. Among his responsibilities one can find: creation of financial strategy, forecasts and analyses, budget preparation and control, cash management as well as supervision over finance & accounting units.
While working for Netia, Mr. Sędzik served as the Treasury and Revenue Assurance Director responsible among others for daily operations within billing and cash collection processes. Between 2000 and 2001, Mr. Sedzik worked for the IIF Group and BillBird S.A as VP Finance and CFO. Between 1997 and 2000, Mr. Sedzik worked for the National Investment Fund PROGRESS S.A. and served on the supervisory board of more than a dozen portfolio companies. Between 1994 and 1996, Mr. Sedzik was working for the Ministry of Privatization and between 1989 and 1994, he was an academic lecturer at the Academy of Economics in Poznan. Since 1989, Mr. Sedzik has also been active as a consultant responsible for feasibility studies and audits, business plans, and restructuring schemes.
Mr. Sedzik has a degree in economics from the Academy of Economics in Poznan.
Gosia Pasikowska - HR & Administration Manager
Mrs. Pasikowska joined Kornelius in 2004 as a Head of HR and Administration. Ms. Pasikowska is responsible for both areas of HR: internal and external as far as projects executed for the clients are concerned and for the Administration of the Group.
Prior joining Kornelius, Mrs. Pasikowska was working for IIF Group - the IT incubator investing in early-stage enterprises with high-return potential as Assistant to the Board.
Between 2002 and 2003 Mrs. Pasikowska was working for Unilever Poland in the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Unit.
In 2005 Mrs. Pasikowska graduated Warsaw School of Economics with M.Sc. Degree in International Economy and in 2006 obtained Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources from the same University.
Bartek Karbowy, M. Sc. FPE – Senior Project Manager
Mr. Karbowy, M. Sc. FPE, joined Kornelius in 2004 as Project Manager in engineering projects. Since then he become a Team Leader in engineering projects run among Kornelius Group of companies (e.g. Global Wind Energy Poland, BL Laboratories, ORMAT).
Mr. Karbowy graduated The Main School of Fire Service in Warsaw - a technical university that educates specialists in life, health and property protection against fires, natural and technical disasters and other threats. Because of his multidisciplinary education, that includes also civil and power engineering as well as technological processing and vast experience gained while working in Kornelius Group, Mr. Karbowy has an ability to evaluate construction projects, technological appliances and processes from the engineering point of view. Moreover he has an ability to lead project development processes and to supervise, from the engineering point of view, its construction.
Mr. Karbowy is responsible for planning, organizing, monitoring and execution of activities that are related to the projects. Mr. Karbowy is also responsible for contacts with our local representatives and providers of services for all supervised projects. Mr. Karbowy is a member of The Polish Wind Energy Association (PSEW).
Greg Lada – Business Development
Mr. Lada joined Kornelius in 2007 as Telecom Projects Specialists and in 2008 was promoted to the position of Business Development Manager. Mr. Lada is responsible for managing business development of Kornelius Group. Among his responsibilities one can find cooperation with telecommunication operators, both traditional and mobile, looking for new opportunities on the polish market regarding new technology, cooperation with multinational vendors and producers of advanced telecommunication devices as well as creating analyses and business plans for new ventures and marketing activities.
Prior joining Kornelius, Mr. Lada was working for Polkomtel S.A. as a Voice Core Network Specialist. He was responsible for network planning and configuration of MSCs. He took part in numerous strategic projects such as: network preparation for MVNOs and network configuration for national roaming purposes. Mr. Lada cooperated with Polkomtel while executing measurements quality of service (QoS) offered in UMTS networks for the purpose of his Master Thesis.
Mr. Lada graduated Network and Telecomunication Services Management from Warsaw University of Technology in 2005. Additionally in 2006 he obtained Postgraduate Diploma in Projects Management from Warsaw School of Economics.
Marek Dębski – Project Management
Mr. Dębski joined Kornelius in 2010. Mr. Dębski has over 10 years of professional business experience in project management, especially in power engineering and industrial sectors. During his professional career Mr. Dębski obtained a vast knowledge in the fields of: construction process, investment and purchasing processes. Moreover Mr. Dębski gained wide experience in Project Management supported by professional knowledge in PM methodologies (PMP) and PM tools (MS Project) as well as he own competences in assessment of investment project. His experience in project procurement management and knowledge of commercial contracts structure (engineering and construction) as well as contract administrating (incl. „turn-key”/EPC) were beneficiary during serving a position of Investment Project Manager at Polish Energy Partners S.A. Mr. Dębski was working as investor’s supervisor on wind farm construction Project „Suwałki” – 42 MW (approx. value: 70 mln €) – where he was responsible for relations with bidders, technical supervisors, authorities and public institutes. Mr. Dębski developed also several investment projects based on Greenhouse Gas Technology for industrial clients.
Mr. Dębski graduated in Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering on Specialty of Robotics from the Warsaw University of Technology in 1990.
Mr. Dębski obtained also an MBA title from Warsaw University of Technology Business School.
Marek Polak, Ph. D. - Advisory
Dr. Polak joined Kornelius in 2004 as an Advisor in the fields of: telecommunications, project management, and co-ordination of EU-funded programs.
He is currently working for Warsaw University of Technology as a Director of Centre for International Cooperation, where he is responsible for coordination of the EU Framework Program, EU educational programs and international cooperation with universities and scientific organizations from all over the world.
From 2006 to 2007 Dr. Polak was appointed as a President of the Board at TechnoPort Warszawa S.A., the municipal company designated to create Warsaw Technology Park (360 m € investment), where he was developing business framework for Warsaw Technology Park, preparing conceptual studies and preliminary designs and managing formal investment process in accordance with Polish Construction Law.
Since 2003, as an external expert, he is permanently involved with ex-ante, interim and ex-post evaluations of projects in Leonardo da Vinci Programme.
Between 1996 and 2004, Dr. Polak worked at Netia Telekom S.A., where he served as a Senior Project Manager, Regional Director, Warsaw Project Director and the Director of Network Department. In such capacities, he was responsible for network build-out, operations & maintenance, engineering, network management support, planning and material management.
Between 1977 and 1996, Dr. Polak's professional career was focused mainly on the Middle East, where he worked as Chief Technical Consultant and Technical Director (Iraq; 1977 to 1982), GM and Partner of Geokart Abu Dhabi Consulting Engineers (U.A.E., 1983 to 1989), and GM & Middle East GIS Manager at Abu Dhabi Branch of Gulf Computers (U.A.E., 1991 to 1996).
Before his stay in the Middle East, Dr. Polak was employed for seven years at the Technical University of Warsaw as a Senior Lecturer and Head of Research Team.
Dr. Polak holds a diploma in geodesy and cartography from Warsaw Technical University (M.Sc., 1970), a post-graduate diploma in pedagogy (1972) and a Ph. D. in technology (1976).
